When you sign up via My Music Staff (MMS), you will choose the day/time you want to attend your first lesson.
Please note all times are in 30-minute increments, so choose two back-to-back times for 1 hour.
A link to the lesson will be on your MMS calendar.

Why online lessons?

Taking classes, especially vocal/acting lessons, is very personal. I have found that students feel more comfortable in their own space and allow themselves to “let go” and explore their sound. With the proper equipment, your lesson will be clear and easily heard. You can record ALL lessons to listen back and hear your improvement. Zoom allows you to record and view your recordings immediately after our session. Click here for more information.

FACT: Online classes are now commonplace at colleges and universities. Some classes required for graduation are only available online.

What kind of webcam should I get?

Technology has definitely come a long way. In my experience, the higher the price of the webcam, the better image you will have! You must also remember how old and what type of computer you have will play an important part as well. I have used Skype, Google Hangouts, and Facetime in the past; however, I exclusively use Zoom because of its sound options and security features.

Zoom Audio Settings

I use the “Original Sound for Musicians” setting on my end and require it on your end for the best sound quality so I can hear the nuances of your voice. Here is a link: https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0064198

Creating a User Name

There is no need to create a Zoom profile; however, you will need one to record. I strongly suggest downloading and installing the Zoom app to use the Original Sound for Musicians option for audio.
